Dinosaur Books

Dinosaur books make great entertainment. You could be an adult interested in a good dinosaur novel, or a child with a dinosaur picture book. Either way, dinosaur books come in many different types of fun reading. There are so many types to choose from; a good dinosaur graphic novel or an educational dinosaur textbook, dinosaur books really are for everyone! Here are a few dinosaur books that top our dinosaur reading list!

“We Love Dinosaurs” by Lucy Volpin

“We Love Dinosaurs” by Lucy Volpin is a great dinosaur book for younger kids. It is full of rhyming words, and dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes! “Dinosaurs Can’t Roar” by Layla Beason is another fantastic dinosaur hardcover for the younger generation. This dinosaur book helps to teach the difference between myth and new scientific facts about dinosaurs.

“The Dinosaur Lords” by Victor Milan

For us adults, dinosaur books abound. If you are a dinosaur fiction lover, “The Dinosaur Lords” by Victor Milan might be what you are looking for. This dinosaur paperback takes place in a setting similar to our 14th century, the difference is dinosaurs still roam the earth and have been domesticated for a number of tasks. Michael Crichton has written more than one dinosaur novel; there is the classic, “Jurassic Park”, however “Dragon Teeth” is also a dino-mite read! (See what I did there?)

For the non-fiction dinosaur book lover, “The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs: A New History of a Lost World” by Steve Brusatte has been called the “best dinosaur biography” by Scientific American, and it was rated one of the best science books of 2018. It is a must read for all dinosaur enthusiasts. “King of the Dinosaur Hunters: The Life of John Bell Hatcher and the Discoveries that Shaped Paleontology” by Lowell Dingus is another fascinating dinosaur read. This dinosaur biography explores the life of the “real life Indiana Jones” and his many dinosaur finds.
